Firmground is a boutique design and development studio in Bangkok. Websites, automation, custom software and AI tools, built to hold up in daily use. We keep the studio deliberately small so the people you talk to are the people doing the work.
Why "Firmground"
Software is easy to demo and hard to trust, and AI has made the demos even easier. We named the studio Firmground as a promise: we only build on what we can test, measure and explain in plain words. If we cannot put a working demo in front of you, we do not sell it to you.
Three rules we don't break.
Show, don't claim. Anything we say we can do, you can try on this site or see in a prototype before you pay for a full build. Claims without demos are marketing. Demos are proof.
Plain words only. Proposals, updates and contracts written in plain language, so you can read them once and understand them. If we cannot explain a decision simply, we treat that as our problem, not yours.
You own everything. Code, content, designs, domains, accounts. In your name from day one, with a recorded walkthrough at handover. A studio you cannot leave easily is a studio you should not join.
How we think about the work
Most software fails in the planning-execution gap. The plan was fine, the demo was fine, and what shipped still falls short. So we spend our effort where that gap forms: asking better questions before writing code, testing on your real examples instead of ideal ones, and measuring results against targets we agree on up front. Boring discipline, applied consistently, beats clever technology applied carelessly. That opinion is the studio.
How a Firmground project runs.
The first call (free). We ask about your business: where money comes from, what eats time, what has been tried. We do not talk technology until we understand the problem. Within 2 days you get a one-page written summary.
The proposal. One fixed price, one timeline, in plain language. What is included, what is not, what you need to provide. Valid for 30 days, no pressure.
Prototype first. For anything with AI in it, you see a working prototype on your real examples before committing to the full build. Prototypes are priced so that walking away is genuinely fine.
Honest evaluation. AI tools get tested against a measurable target we agree on up front (for example: "reads 95 of 100 receipts correctly"). You see the test results, including the failures.
Weekly updates. Every week: what got done, what is next, any risks. Written for decision-makers, not developers.
Handover. Everything in your name. A recorded walkthrough video. 30 days of free fixes. Then a care plan if you want one, independence if you don't.
